It’s the holiday season and it’s at this time of the year we are often faced with gatherings of friends and family we don’t see often and maybe we don’t even like…We all have difficult people in our lives.  Does your Mother-in-Law drive you crazy?  Does your co-worker? Are you feeling really triggered by your kids?  Are you tired of feeling put down, powerless and unheard?  Listen for the solutions to healing yourself THROUGH these difficult relationships! About Andrea Ferguson

Founder of The F.I.T. LIFE Method | F.I.T. Mindset Mentor and Coach.  Andrea spent more than a decade working with thousands of women in the health and fitness arena as a Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, Nutritionist, Fitness Studio Owner, Life Coach and Mentor.

She created, built and sold a fitness studio and fitness business. She has designed, created and run many programs, workshops, multi-day events and retreats. She has also developed an entire method and an accompanying 2-year curriculum plus mastery program, to facilitate her current work as a F.I.T. Mindset Mentor and Coach.

While she knows self-discipline, determination, perseverance, commitment and how to act in spite of fear, she also learned through burnout, exhaustion and the fallout that followed, the essential art of surrender. She discovered the joy in simplicity and in having time in her life to simply just be. As a result, she learned how to keep her achiever hustle in check and how to live Fully In Tune with all the beautiful synchronicities and miracles guiding her life, that only became evident when she slowed down enough to notice.

TOOL: Choosing to Show Up for the difficult relationships in your life.  Use this tool when the SAME relationship challenges keep showing up and you want to get the learning, do the healing and move on.

Your difficult relationships, with your kids, friends and/or family are assignments are happening FOR you, not to you. They are here to help you heal a pattern or stuck emotion so you can move forward and make progress.

Step 1: What's the situation that keeps happening or that you keep attracting that's triggering you?

Recognize that these situations/people/circumstances are here to help you heal. Decide to show up for the assignment by affirming you are ready.

 Step 2: Give yourself permission to feel the feelings below the triggers. What are you feeling?


Step 3: Say a prayer for guidance and then open up to receive what comes to you:

Example prayer: "Thank you, Universe, for presenting me with this divine assignment for spiritual growth and healing. I am ready and willing to show up for this assignment with love. I welcome your support. Show me where to go, what to do and what to say. I trust I’m being guided." - Gabriel Bernstein

  2. What is happening with this person?
  3. How are you currently interpreting the situation (what messages are you getting)?
  4. If this person is here to teach you something to help you heal, evolve and grow (something on the list likely) what are they trying to teach you?  (often it's the very opposite of how these situations make you feel)

Once you get the lesson, the next step is to engage with this person from a place of having learned the lesson.

  1. How is this lesson meant to help you heal, grow and evolve?
  2. How would you respond to this situation if you applied the lesson?
  3. What boundaries would you set?
  4. What actions would you take or how will you engage differently?

Now it's time to engage from a place of worthiness and connection.
